The Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College is the centre of excellence
in Defence and War studies of the region. It is an honour for me to be
entrusted upon to be the 19th Commandant of the college. To
this note I look forward to further elevate the college to be amongst the best
in its field of study. Uptill now the programme offered by the college to its
Course Participants in the Master of Social Science and Defence Studies by
the National University of Malaysia and a Diploma given by the MAFDC is much
sought after by senior officers from the defence related and national security
fraternity local and abroad.
The course curriculum offered by the college is specially designed to be
intellectually stimulating and thought provoking thus providing Course
Participants to further develop their ability to think, analyse, rationalise
and formulate sound decisions. The Course Participants niche in Strategic
Studies and International Relations with strong fundamentals in research
methodology and sound analytical inclination would definitely pave their way in
charting their career path as admirals,generals and bureaucrats.
We at the College subscribe in striving for excellence and doing the
best with the guiding philosophy of always `Doing the Right Thing and
Doing Things Right`. This simple Quality guiding principle we believe will
drive the way forward in ensuring that the college will always advocate and
pursue the best to fulfill the Course Participants as well as the Stakeholders
expectations and interest.
